This time we will talk about queerness. Sometimes, when I think about the situation of the LGBTQIA+ community in Poland and around the world, I feel that I'm totally lost in it. That I no longer know what's going on, where we're going, how to explain it, what it used to be, nor do I know how to put Poland in a broader context because Poland is my everyday life, so additionally my emotions are super present here. Meanwhile, Mark Gevisser, a journalist, reporter, decided to tell in his monumental book called "The Pink Line: Journeys Across the World's Queer Frontiers", how our world is divided, how admiration mixes with hatred and tolerance with denial. Sometimes, in doing so, he goes many decades back in time, he also travels all over the world to avoid describing only the European or North American reality. And thanks to him, I am no longer so afraid of this entanglement of threads and I feel that I understand a little more.
