The Dunwich Horror and Other Tales

"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown" - H.P. Lovecraft, Supernatural Horror in Literature Wilbur Whately, has got to be one of the most horrifying characters in literature. Why is he 8 feet tall at age 15, and can grow a full beard? Is it because of his controversial parentage? Or is his arrival merely a precedent for the arrival of an ancient evil? In The Dunwich Horror, Lovecraft lays further ground in the Cthulu Mythos. Alongside The Dunwich Horror are the stories: Dagon, The Call of Cthulhu, The Lurking Fear, Imprisoned with the Pharoahs, The Music of Erich Zann, Randolph Carter, In the Walls of Eryx, and The Transition of Juan Romero.
