Major Clanger is the father of the family, forever inventing all kinds of curious contraptions. Mother Clanger tends to their home with steady kindness and a comforting nature. Fishing on his boat in space, Major Clanger oddly catches a top hat. Inside the hat are three Froglets. These curious little orange aliens create quite a disturbance. When the Clangers try to catch them, the Froglets are unwell. The Soup Dragon graciously gives them a special healing pudding to be bright and chipper once again. Major Clanger goes to fetch more but instead finds more Froglets. After reuniting with their friends, the odd little Froglets go back home.
