The Beast With Five Fingers, by W. F. Harvey is an incredibly creepy horror piece by an old master of the genre. Eustace, a wealthy English single man, receives an inheritance from his uncle Adrian who was blind. The legacy consists of a large library and a box, with air holes in it. Eustace reckons the box contains a small animal. It's alive and it's definitely not gentle…But is it really an animal?
