Raiders of the Universes

Raiders of the Universes is a sci-fi novel by Donald Wandrei, originally published in the magazine Astounding Stories. In the 34th century, Raiders are inflicting mayhem on entire planets near Sol; and Earth is no exception. The Raiders come to learn that Earth is teeming with intelligent life and sympathetically decide not to gobble it up like so many others...but what in turn might be worse?
