Meet Savita and our nameless narrator, who secure admission in a medical college in Karnataka. All through their young lives, they have had to struggle with the ugliness of caste discrimination and all through they endured it telling themselves that everything would be different once they were doctors. They believed that their lives would change and their caste would be no longer held against them.
Instead, they discover that they have a new moniker: Quota Girls.
