Thirty-two year old Alexandra “Zan” Moreland, a rising young architect who lives in Manhattan, has been plagued by identity theft.  Someone has gained access to her bank accounts, credit cards, personal background, and is now impersonating her. But then with overwhelming circumstantial evidence stacked against her, Zan is arrested for the murder of a woman she never met – or claims she never met.
