I Heard That Song Before (abridged)

When Kay Lansing¿s engagement to wealthy widower Peter Carrington is announced, one of the New York City tabloids runs a headline, over a photograph of her holding a gardening trowel: Sitting on Top of the World. Well, and why not? Kay is twenty-eight years old, attractive, smart and a gifted young Westchester landscape and garden consultant. But ten years ago Peter¿s pregnant wife, Grace, had been found drowned in the pool. There have always been rumors that her death was not an accident.  Almost immediately after they are married Kay hears gossip in town that the local police department is reexamining the evidence that had been gathered when Grace died. Did Kay marry a killer or is there another answer? Only Kay¿s eighty-two year old grandmother begins to see the danger Kay is in. Keen of mind, but frail of body, she attracts the attention of the killer who realizes that like Kay, she is putting the puzzle together¿
