Grief Devotional for Hard Days

The chair is still empty. The diagnosis is still real. Everyone else has gone back to their lives, and you are still here, trying to get through one more day.

This grief devotional gives you a few quiet minutes of Christian comfort when you cannot find words of your own. Each short devotion opens with a comfort passage paraphrased plainly from less familiar scripture, such as Lamentations 3 or Psalm 131, then places you in an ordinary scene you will recognize, like the hospital corridor or the first holiday after. The narrator then prays for you, slowly and out loud, and leaves you with one small practice to carry into the day. You are allowed to take your time here.
